All prices are correct at time of publishing but please confirm all prices at time of enquiry/booking.

In 2021 year a few of the attractions in our Itineraries were either closed or numbers were restricted, we would hope for 2022 this will be resolved but we will keep you informed. Things are still different for the start of the year and we will continue with our rigorous approach to maintain passenger safety. As this Brochure is printed in December we have no idea of the guidelines which will be in place but we will notify you of any with your Travel Tickets.

What’s Included:

DAY 1 We leave home and travel to Peebles, stopping en-route to make a visit to the Royal Yacht Britannia in Leith.
DAY 2 Our first stop today is Traquair House dating back to 1107 a refuge for Catholic priests during many centuries of terror and then a hunting lodge for Kings and Queens, it is an exceptional piece of living history and one of the tour’s highlights. In the afternoon we travel through the rolling hills and gentle valleys with their riverside towns, making a stop in Selkirk and Hawick.
DAY 3 On the way towards Edinburgh, we visit what must be the most compelling of all chapels, 15th century Rosslyn Chapel. It survived destruction during the Reformation, has the most majestic stonework and has a history as far back as the Holy Grail as depicted in the Da Vinci code. We continue on to Edinburgh to board the Borders Railway which travels through beautiful Borders countryside. Time free in Galashiels before returning to the hotel.
DAY 4 We have a morning free to explore Peebles, a tranquil town with boutique shops and eateries on the banks of the River Tweed. In the afternoon we take the short and scenic drive to Thirlestane Castle for a Guided tour. It is a magnificent 16th century castle, one of the oldest and finest inhabited castle in Scotland. See the collection of weapons dating back to 1745 and the Grand Bedchamber where Bonnie Prince Charlie stayed. We return to the hotel.
DAY 5 We leave the Borders and head homeward.
