This friendly hotel is situated on the edge of the village of Seelisberg. The chalet style complex boasts spectacular panoramic lake and mountain views. There is a lift in the main building but not in the annexe building. There is a charming tradi-tional bar and a large restaurant with views over the lake, as well as an outside terrace which boasts breathtaking views. There is also a small sauna and gym as well as a tennis court.

DAY 1 We leave home and travel to Hull to board our overnight ferry to Rotterdam.
DAY 2 We disembark and make our way through Holland and into France to the Novotel Metz for our overnight stay.
DAY 3 We continue to our hotel, the Bellevue Seelisberg and will arrive before dinner.
DAY 4 After breakfast we take a journey to Alpnachstad where we join the world’s steepest cogwheel railway. Mount Pilatus is the emblem of central Switzerland and it is to Pilatus Kulm that our little train is heading for, as it winds its way up a 48 degree climb, through lush meadows carpeted with alphine flowers, psat sparkling mountain streams and fascinating rock faces. When we reach the awe-inspiring summit we see the spectacular views over Lake Lucerne and its town, as well as the Central and Bernese Alps. Our wondrous journey does not finish here as we continue by cable cardown to Kriens, where we re-join our coach to Lucerne. Lucerne is one of the world’s prettiest cities and here we enjoy time at leisure to discover attractions such as the world famous Chapel Bridge and Water Tower, the Lion Monument and many other sites of interest.
DAY 5 Leaving our hotel this morning, we make our way to Lucerne from where we join the Gotthard Panorama Express historic steamer*. Our 2½ hour cruise takes us past picturesque villages and sleepy bays, as we make our way to Fluelen. It is here we disembark and board our train. Travelling through the Reuss Valley on the world famous Gotthard Line, we swiftly climb from 470m to 1100m towards Goschenen, taking us through the 15km tunnel where we emerge to the wonderful scenery of southern Switzerland. We continue our journey crossing breathtaking bridges and passing charming villages until we reach Locarno. Here we disembark and re-join our coach as we make our way into Italy and along the shores of Lake Maggiore where we arrive at our second hotel. *Steamer may sometimes be replaced by a modern style boat.
DAY 6 We have a full day at leisure today to enjoy the beautiful resort of Stresa. With panoramic views across the lake, botanical gardens, churches and shops, there is much to do.
DAY 7 After breakfast, we travel east to Lake Como, where we will spend the day exploring the prettiest lake in northern Italy. Its breath-taking mountains provide a
stunning backdrop to the magnificent gardens with their vast array of colour. We visit Villa Carlotta with its beautiful art collections and splendid botanical gardens before taking a return ferry to the ‘jewel’ of Lake Como, Bellagio. This lovely historic village is teeming with character and boasts a fine selection of unique shops and lakeside cafés offering fabulous views.
DAY 8 This morning we take a boat out to the stunning Borromean Islands. We first visit Isola Bella, which houses a beautiful stately home and elegant Italianate gardens, before we continue by boat to Isola dei Pescatori, the only island which is currently inhabited.
DAY 9 After breakfast we head back into Germany to the Pentahotel, Wiesbaden for the next two nights.
DAY 10 We travel along the banks of the mighty Rhine where we have some free time in Rudesheim, a wonderfully atmospheric and picturesque town.
DAY 11 We make our way back to Rotterdam to board our overnight P&O North Sea Ferry
DAY 12 We arrive home.
