4 Nights Dinner, Bed and Breakfast, Welcome Tea/Coffee, Train Journey from Haverthwaite to Lakeside, entrance to Sizergh Castle, Lake Windermere Cruise.
DAY 1 We travel to the Lake District to arrive in Kendal late afternoon.
DAY 2 First stop is Haverthwaite Steam Railway for a nostalgic twenty minute journey through picturesque Leven Valley to Bowness where we board our vessel for a forty minute cruise on Lake Windermere. We will then enjoy some free time in Bowness.
DAY 3 Our excursion today takes us first to Sizergh Castle and Gardens, a medieval castle, gateway to the Lake District and is the family home which remains lived in to this day. In the afternoon we will visit Keswick and the North Lakes.
DAY 4 We can enjoy some free time in Kendal and then in the afternoon we will visit Grasmere and Ambleside taking in the natural beauty of the Lake District.
DAY 5 We return home.
