The small town of Vianden has a picturesque location on the banks of the River Our, set amidst magnificent Luxembourg scenery, close to the border with Germany. Vianden houses many great buildings including a feudal manor, a former Trinitarian church and cloister and a rural art museum.

DAY 1 We leave home and travel to Hull to board the overnight ferry to Rotterdam.
DAY 2 We disembark and travel to Vianden visiting Valkenburg en-route. We enjoy a welcome drink on arrival at the Grand Hotel.
DAY 3 A free day to relax and soak up the atmosphere in Vianden.
DAY 4 An excursion to Grevenmacher on the River Mosel. Set in splendid scenery, Grevenmacher is an important wine-growing centre. A visit to a wine cellar with wine tasting to follow with a boat trip on the mighty Mosel will finish our day.
DAY 5 A full day excursion to Luxembourg city. We will have a half day guided tour followed by time at leisure. Sights include Luxembourg Castle Ruins, the Grand Ducal Palace and the Cathedral of Notre-Dame.
DAY 6 An excursion to Trier, the oldest city in Germany. Once the regional Roman capital, it offers a host of well preserved reminders of bygone days with its amphitheatre and thermal baths.
DAY 7 Depart Luxembourg and make our way back to Rotterdam for our overnight ferry.
DAY 8 We travel home.
